Ah, The cruel twist of circumstance! I have spent the last two weeks more frustrated than I have been in a very long time, while searching for ways to come to terms with this small injury I have picked up and the time it shall keep me away from what I love and what I am so passionate about. Well, it’s Salsa dancing of course.

I can’t hit the same steps as I used to and my flares just aren’t as prominent!

But seriously it’s crushing not to be able to travel with the team to Loftus this weekend to face The Bulls, in a game that promises to be all all fire and brimstone.

We’ll be on the hunt (avoiding any Shark puns there) for our 8th successive victory and The Blou Bulle will be wanting to put their Currie Cup season back on track after their surprise loss to The Pumas last weekend.

But hopefully this groin strain won’t keep me out for much longer. I’m going to be aiming at some game time next week Friday against those same Pumas and a full on run out against The Cheetahs the weekend after. Hoping this injury plays along.

In other news though, I have been following my old Toulon teammates with interest, keeping in touch with a few still at RCT and also with a few that have made the move to other clubs as well, Luke Rooney and Jamie Robinson specifically. It was truly a special group of guys we had in Toulon last year and after forging some great friendships I shall always be a Toulonnais! Rouge et Noir!

Hope you are all good, and looking forward to The Boks running out against the Wallabies (I’m going to avoid making a prediction) and my Sharks against The Bulls straight after. You all know whom I’m backing for that one!
